so, still catching up from the many posts i am behind in from 2010.
late in 2010 i have the pleasure of photographing a fabulous print exhibition by the talented Sandra Thomson, a fellow tutor at the polytech.
i had creative license with this shoot and i had FUN!!! i immediately fell in love with the prints and thoroughly enjoyed photographing the finer details of the prints. see for yourself.
late last year you may remember i did a shoot for my friend pete wheeler for a catalogue for his show at jonathan smart art gallery. well i popped in to see jonathan last week to see how his summer was etc and he asked me if i'd like to come and shoot artworks in his current show. well i wasn't going to say no to that, was i.....even if shooting art is so so hard(getting the colours right ain't easy)
over the past few weeks i've had the pleasure to shoot my friend pete's paintings for his latest exhibition coming up in november. he needed the works shot for his catalogue, which i must say is looking very cool. it's designed by our mutual friend jay, who has done a fantastic job.
i did a couple of shoots, the first to simply document the paintings in situ' and get some pic's of pete...and basically to suss out the paintings, coz these baby's are big. the largest being 3.2m by 2.7m.
the second shoot was to document each of the pictures for the catalogue inserts - oh did i mention, the catalogue is like an record album cover....too cool
